GRADING RUBRIC
- 10 - A++: Outstanding, above and beyond expectations!
- 9 - A: Excellent, fulfilled all requirements, shows pride in work!
- 8 - B: Good Job! Shows effort. May be missing 1-2 requirements.
- 7 - C: Satisfactory, did minimal amount of work, may be missing 3 or more requirements.
- 6 - D: Unsatisfactory. Incomplete, missing all requirements/did not follow directions.
SCIENCE CURRICULUM
TEN STUDY STRATEGIES FOR SUCCESS
1. Write in complete sentences, restate the question as part of the answer.
2. Support answers with specific, detailed examples, facts and figures.
3. Summarize information with One Sentence Summary Frames.
4. Organize information with Concept Maps and Power Outlines. Inspiration Software is great for this.
5. Summarize information into Tables and Charts.
6. Make Venn Diagrams to compare things.
7. Create Sequence Chains to put events in order.
8. Make Flash Cards to memorize facts.
9. Make T-Charts to organize main ideas and supporting examples and details.
10. Study for short segments of time several times per day frequently. Don't wait until the last minute!
